Financial Controller – Luxury Island Resort – Zanzibar 

An exceptional opportunity has become available for an experienced Financial Controller to join one of Zanzibar’s most established luxury beach resorts.

This high-profile fully inclusive resort features over 170 rooms, multiple dining venues, vibrant bars, and extensive leisure facilities, welcoming international guests year-round. We are seeking a commercially focused hospitality finance professional who thrives within fast-paced resort environments and understands the demands of large-scale luxury operations.

The successful candidate will play a key leadership role within the executive management team, supporting the General Manager while overseeing the full financial performance and operational controls of the property.

Key Requirements:

• • Previous Sub-Saharan African experience is essential
• • Background within luxury resorts or fully inclusive operations preferred
• • Strong expertise in financial reporting, auditing, forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management
• • Advanced understanding of stock control, cost management, and credit procedures
• • Hands-on leadership style with the ability to work closely with all operational departments
• • Strong knowledge of hotel systems, finance platforms, and Point of Sale reporting
• • Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and negotiate effectively
• • Experience leading and mentoring multicultural finance teams
• • Professional, resilient, detail-oriented, and highly organised
• • Comfortable liaising directly with owners and senior stakeholders
• • Demonstrated career stability and consistent progression within previous roles
