Chief Engineer – Luxury Five-Star Hotel | Southern Africa

New luxury five-star hotel opening in Southern Africa.

Over 250 rooms, multiple F&B outlets, waterpark and conference facilities for up to 2,000 guests.

• Lead the Engineering function as part of the pre-opening team.
• Responsible for all engineering, maintenance and technical operations across the property.
• Proven pre-opening experience in a luxury four or five-star hotel/resort is essential.
• Previous African hospitality experience is required.
• Hilton experience would be highly advantageous.
• Minimum two years’ experience as Chief Engineer or similar role within a 250+ room international hotel/resort.
• Strong technical knowledge across all engineering disciplines.
• Previous experience managing large waterparks, rides and water systems essential.
• Advanced knowledge of water pumps and related equipment required.
• International Engineering qualifications preferred.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing multicultural teams.
• Hands-on leader with excellent coaching and mentoring abilities.
• High standards of integrity, professionalism and ethical leadership.
• Calm and effective under pressure in a challenging environment.
• Strong focus on training, team development and operational excellence.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Fluent English communication skills required.
• Positive, proactive and “can-do” attitude.

Package

Salary US$4,500 net per month depending on experience.
