Financial Controller – Luxury Beach Resort | Zanzibar

• Lead financial operations for a prestigious fully inclusive luxury family resort located in Zanzibar.
• Manage the complete finance function for a large-scale resort operation featuring 170+ rooms, multiple restaurants and bars.
• Partner closely with the General Manager and Executive Team to drive financial performance, operational efficiency and commercial success.
• Take ownership of financial controls, reporting, budgeting and cost management across the entire resort.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

• Previous Sub-Saharan Africa hospitality experience is essential.
• Proven background managing finance operations within luxury hotels, resorts or large-scale hospitality environments.
• Fully inclusive resort experience highly advantageous.
• Strong expertise in financial controls, including revenue control, credit management, stock control and cost monitoring.
• Strong understanding of hospitality accounting systems, Property Management Systems (PMS) and Point of Sale (POS) platforms.
• Experienced in preparing, managing and monitoring annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Ability to analyse financial performance and provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
• Strong supplier management skills with the ability to negotiate and maintain effective relationships.
• Proven experience leading and developing multicultural finance teams of 20+ employees.
• Confident working with resort owners, stakeholders and senior management.
• Firm, fair and decisive leadership style with excellent attention to detail.
• Stable career history with demonstrated success in previous senior finance roles.
