An outstanding opportunity for an ambitious and passionate Sous Chef to join an exciting new restaurant project on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, scheduled to launch in December.

This is more than just another Sous Chef position. The vision is clear: to establish a destination restaurant with the ambition of winning industry awards and achieving Chef Hat recognition.

You will work alongside a highly publicised and recognised chef personality, contributing to the development and execution of an exciting culinary concept.

The role

Work closely with the Executive Chef in developing and delivering the menu.

Take an active role in the restaurant launch and kitchen preparation.

Oversee daily kitchen operations and service delivery.

Lead, train and motivate the kitchen brigade.

Maintain exceptional food quality, presentation and consistency.

Assist with menu development, food costing and stock control.

Ensure the highest standards of kitchen hygiene and organisation.

Contribute to the restaurant's ambition of achieving awards and Chef Hat recognition.

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience.
